While I agree with you on what you had to say I must state that if we don't procure that oil or at least have friendly relations with the nations that can offer us that oil the Chinese will be in there quicker than a fly to poop. It's looking inevitable that the Chinese are the futures new top dog but we might as well put it off as long as we can.Though we consume and pollute imagine 1.3 billion Chinese added to that....They already have massive pollution issues in their own country and their rise(while every human being deserves our standard of living)will suck up what little is left of our natural resources. The future of this planet and more so human survival is looking bleak.I also wouldn't want to live in a world where a Communist Nation is running things.Look at what happens in China if you speak against the govn't,all the tainted products they have been exporting and even giving their own people, unethical business practices, growing military. The reality is we need to keep ourselves out there particularly in Asia and the Middle East and should become more prominent in Africa to keep the Chinese at bay or at least limit their influence.Guess I got off topic with China but just trying to prove the point we need to be assertive in our search, procurement, and protection of our natural resoiurces and their sources in order to maintain the current standard of living Americans enjoy.Visit a third world nation(I've been to countries with third wolrd like conditions in certain areas) and see if you would prefer to live in squalor, regular power outages,no work, struggle just to eat daily or if you would rather see our Armed Forces protecting our interests.Protecting our interests and availability to natural resources is protecting America.Terrorism and going after terrorists on their home turf is also essential reason for being over there.
Can you believe the Repulicants only want to make the most desolate hurt even more. But want to make sure the most wealthy don't suffer by helping to pay for emergency relief. These are the same people who cheer when they said at their debate to let the 30 year old man needing medical care to let him die. Booed a gay warrior who was in Afganastan fighting for us now. Cheered at executing innocent people. We now they have no heart, no compassion and they aren't Pro Life. As they proclaim the cheer for death. When ever times get tough lets find someone to blame for hard times. History hopefully won't repeat itself from 1932 to 1944 Germany.
VERY GOOD observation and i fully agree. Americans have wonderful freedoms - however, not the freedom to act in a stupid manner and feel there won't be consequence - and then come home to condemn the way they feel the US govt is behaving there?!

So true!! An excellent point of view!!!
It is kinda hard to feel sorry for them and go rescue them, when they were being arrogant thinking they could go anywhere in the world just because they wanted to. Hello there is a war there American service men and women were fighting there at that time. What ever there reason for going hiking was surely wasn't good enough for them to spend 8years in jail, but they broke the law. Had they not been that close to the border they would not have been tricked into going across the border as some contend here. Service members should not have to go and get someone for being stupid and arrogant! I am not going to go Juarez Mexico and just be arrogant walking up and down the street just because I am an American and I can. Sometimes common sense has to prevail.
Great line have you had your cup of tea yet. Any type of violence in this decade is sad. I always hope as human beings that we have evolved to a higher level of understanding and spirituality. We are not humane beings, and I feel in time we will destroy ourselves. We have done a good job so far with pollution of the water a necessity to survive and destroyed the land. Violence has never been the answer to problems people feel are created by the government. What harm did the people who owned the property destroyed bring to these people or the lady stuck in in the blazing fire with a baby.
